It is the story about how some race haters and the alleged Ku Klux Klan, including police officers, pathologist, the fire marshal, and the county coroner conspired to cover up the murder of five innocent children. This is the voice that the brother of the murdered children, after spending thirty years of his life searching for justice and closure. As a result of his lifetime search, in 2014, he was able to persuade some of the white residents of Woodruff County to meet with the FBI. Through his persistence and perseverance, some of the white residents came forward with testimonies naming those involved.

This is a horrifying but true first-hand description of the burning murder of five poor innocent black kids by racists in the Deep South in 1984. Written by the kids' devoted surviving brother, this remarkable and very timely book illuminates the terrifying impact of complicity by law enforcement and government personnel in hate crime based on race. Through the brother's hard work, the vicious perpetrators have finally been identified, and in 2014 an investigation was opened by the FBI. This book and its account of the cruel killing of these five children is as germane today as it was thirty years ago, and there is no statute of limitations on murder.
